1. Head- Sales, Analytical (India & SAARC)

  • Build and Lead direct and indirect sales organization towards achievement of target business, growth, customer satisfaction and brand development for company’s analytical instrumentation portfolio in the Indian and SAARC region. Require relevant education in Chemistry/Engineering with at least 15 years of relevant work experience including leadership of pan India/SAARC teams and knowledge of key target markets/customers/competition.

2. Territory Sales Manager- North Region

Position Objective

Contribute to the success of Analytik Jena Analytical Instruments business in the assigned territory by maximizing our presence and sales in our target customer segments. Ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction in the installed base while meeting/exceeding our sales targets from the territory.

Position Responsibilities:

The specific responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to providing:

  • Build and maintain a quarterly and annual sales plan for the territory in alignment with regional sales plan
  • Prospect for new customers and sales opportunities for our solutions and build a healthy pipeline through highest standards of technical selling. Demonstrate industry leading standards of application and product understanding for AJ solutions as well as those of key competitors
  • Win and close sales for our solutions at or greater than quarterly and annual targeted levels
  • Establish and maintain close contact and relationships with all existing and potential customers. Ensure market leading levels for AJ of customer satisfaction in our installed and prospect base
  • Maintain highest levels of business intelligence in assigned territory. Provide reliable short and long term forecasts of business as well as monthly win/loss reports
  • Coordinate with AJ support specialists to ensure resolutions to support and application questions from customers and partners. Engage with AJ AG people and processes as required
  • Build, train and support sales channel partners in the territory as appropriate
  • Maintain the required level of updates, training and documentation for providing the assured standards of sales support to the territory

Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor Level Technical Education in appropriate field
  • Appropriate experience in technical sales of analytical measurements and instrumentation
  • Appropriate understanding of techno commercial processes related to imported equipment
  • Appropriate inter personal and relationship management skills
  • Appropriate reading, writing, verbal communication and presentation skills in English
  • Operating knowledge of basic computing tools, software and smart phones
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as required

Key Performance Measures:

  • Sales performance relative to targets
  • Level and growth of qualified sales pipeline
  • Appropriate understanding of techno commercial processes related to imported equipment
  • Forecast Accuracy
  • Customer Satisfaction levels in territory from Survey feedback
  • Repeat/New Equipment order levels from installed base
